James Blackburn and David Duthie have been performing together continuously since 1984. Their music, as well as their partnership, is unique in Portland.

Blackburn & Duthie play the all-time great jazz favorites by such composers as Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Rodgers & Hart, to name a few. Their music is presented in a straight ahead style. Their song treatments are always elegant, sophisticated, and inspired. Theirs is a style of jazz that is timeless.

Blackburn & Duthie are seasoned and polished professionals who have performed in long running nightclub engagements, private gala events, civic celebrations, and public concerts throughout the Northwest and Palm Springs.
